Everybody knows her, talks about her, dreams to visit her sooner or later. Stronghyli, Kallisti, Thira or just Santorini it’s not just another Greek island… Santorini is a world’s attraction, a place to see before you die!
But what when it comes to visit it with your kids? Is really Santorini a child friendly place to spend your holidays with your family or is only a top romantic honeymoon destination?
As a north Greek girl who first visited the island 10 years ago and immediately fell in love with it and as a mom of a 3 year old girl who is living and running a baby gear rental business on the island, I am telling you that Santorini can combine both. Due to its particular geological shape and morphology Santorini differs dramatically from one side to the other. It actually seems to visit 2 different islands.
White washed traditional cave houses built on the cliff, blue domed churches with stunning views and sunsets on the caldera side, that usually come with loads of steps. Or flat hotels and streets with bigger swimming pools and long black sand beaches on the beach access side.
So the question is not if Santorini is a nice place to visit with your kids but where the best and safest place to stay is and what you should do in order to keep them busy and happy.

One of the best places of Greece and maybe in the world, it’s really worth a visit, plus there are a lot of activities to do weather you are alone, with your partner and even more with your children! One thing is for sure, children will love it for it’s variety of landscapes, beauty, beaches and combination of calmness and crazy fun at the same time. Santorini is not just an island, I could say that it’s a dream come true!
